Hello, my name is Anna, and I am a primarily self-taught artist with a background in fine art and graphic design that specializes in both digital as well as traditional mediums. Some of my best work is either done via Photoshop, colored pencil, crosshatching with ink, or sometimes acrylic/watercolor paint. Regarding subject matter, I like doing portraits, character drawings in different styles like anime/chibi and comic book style, surrealism, and sometimes tattoo-like designs. Most of the stuff that inspires me is often rooted in pop culture (i.e. cartoons from the 90's up until now, anime, comic books, science fiction and horror movies, fashion trends, etc.) as well as historical designs, like Celtic knotwork, but even simpler things, like the gesture of a hand or a scene outside my window, can be inspiring to me and can conjure up all sorts of ideas. My goal with my work is to inspire people, to hopefully resonate with them as my work resonates with me. It is my hope that in at least some small way my work can change the world, or maybe somebody's life.
