I am an English impressionist artist and photographer living in Dalarna, Sweden. Painting mainly in watercolours, my subjects include steam railways and both English and Swedish landscapes. My constant search for new material has led to an increased interest in digital photography, but it was the ability to take a closer look at nature and everyday objects using macro photography, which presented me with the opportunity to experiment artistically with light and colour. I use natural and/or digital effects to escape the self-imposed restrictions of my painting style to create beautiful abstract images. I paint and photograph to please myself, but if I can create something that somebody else loves, then it is a source of immense satisfaction.
