My name is Bijan.

I was born in Abadan, Iran. I have been an immigrant all my life!

Looking for the right medium to share my experiences, I tried writing, playing music, and creating videos but I was not good in any of them with proficiency to bring out what I carry in my heart. I am trying Visual Arts now. I don't claim to be an artist, but I hope the digital images I create, shoot, compose, and manipulate reflect the obvious reality that exists out there full of wonder and beauty overlooked in an ordinary day.

As an immigrant moving from city to city and country to country I was forced to constantly leave part of me behind, detaching from loved ones, I had to connect and trust new friends to celebrate life, "rebirth".

Going through life experiences, I realized that we all arrive on a planet full of history and wonder and other people's stuff to learn about them. I grew out of many ideas, goals, ambitions, likes, and dislikes growing into new ones with more depth. When reflecting back on my life, people around me, and what I know about the ever-changing real world, three questions stand out that had stayed with me at all phases; who am I? where did we come from? where are we going? Searching for answers, I realized I am not alone. I am one among many.

Growing up more mature, with the help of wonderful people, I learned science and reasoning to light my way ahead. However, I discovered that since the beginning of time, spirituality and religion have been called to fill in the gap that science did not understand. Trying to communicate with people across languages and cultures, I realized, art has been an effective tool connecting seekers, supplementing words in human interactions to pass our feelings to one another. Art also extends to future generations who will have to write their own life story going through the same world.
