I’m Michelle, the creator of Chaos & Wonder Design. Chaos & Wonder draws on an eclectic range of images and processes - from landscapes, figurative work, and abstraction to photos, paintings, printmaking, remixes, and collages. Interested in history and storytelling, my work varies from purely decorative to images that convey a sense of mystery and seduce the viewer to take a second look. I’m inspired by Renaissance and Victorian “cabinets of curiosities,” Japanese woodblock prints, abstract expressionism, and a wink of surrealism. Classically trained as a printmaker, I spent 18 years working in documentary television before returning to my roots as an artist.
