I may be more chemist than artist, but as I realized I was missing a creative element in my life I stumbled onto a huge trove of art: archives of zoological drawings. Biologists used to document species found all over the world this way before cameras existed, demonstrating amazing skill in both art and science. However, these illustrations have experienced the tragedy of time and after up to 400 years of storage they are stained, faded, and slowly disappearing into the pages of history.
Instead of lamenting this loss, I've decided to save them through this project and breathe new life into beautiful works of art.
