Gwenwhyfar Gattis-Duque

Peeking beneath reality, seeing symbols and dream as a map to the everyday, Gwenhwyfar's work develops a dialog with the unconscious for the viewer. Her poetic imagery takes the viewer to a fantastical realm where Dream reigns.

Gwenhwyfar's work is influenced by artists such as, Remedios Varo, Leonora Carrington, Frida Kahlo, Dorothea Tanning, and Leonor Fini. Providing a voice and outlet for her inner world. A voice that ads to the unconscious archetypes that she inherited from her mothers, ancient and modern.
