Lori Ruiz is a watercolorist and mixed media painter. She spends her days exploring Texas Hill Country. She studied Art Education at Colorado Mesa University, and taught private lessons early on. Growing older she became obsessed with camping and immersing herself into the wild where she has found inspiration really springs forth. The overall theme of her work is wildness and its diminishing presence in our lives, with a primary focus on North American wildlife. She is always connecting with others, exchanging stories of animal encounters, conversing about the environment, and observing the changing colors of our landscapes. She loves to share her process of converting those inspirations into watercolor and mixed media paintings.
