Marilia Cardoso

Marília Cardoso is a Portuguese artist currently living in Scotland, UK, with her family. Most of her creative work is inspired by elements of nature. She is passionate about natural sceneries, wildlife, environment, the sea and botanical illustrations. Marília attended a degree in the National Society of Fine Arts in Lisbon, Portugal, from 1995 until 1997. In the meantime, in the year of 2002, her life brought her to Bragança, a city in the north of Portugal to be closer to her grandmother. She attended a degree in Art and Design at the University of Bragança, while at the same time she was running her own Graphic design studio. At that stage of her life she decide to take a different path where she mostly self-taught herself. Marília loves to work with watercolours, acrylic paint, gouache and digital art. And her love for her children, who brought even more inspiration and creativity to her life made her eager to pursue her goal which is to be immersed and surrounded by art.
