My name is Catherine Lewis and I just can´t stop painting!

I always joked with friends and colleagues that one day I`d live in a field, hug trees, wear sandals and paint for a living - they never believed me, I was corporate, committed and driven - that day would never come...…...Well here I am just with a little less time to hug the trees!

I am a dreamer, a romantic and someone with an overwhelming desire to make people smile. I let my imagination run riot and like to express this through paints on paper specialising mainly in watercolors but I dabble in acrylics sometimes too. I believe that when I paint a picture, I am giving a little of myself to someone else.

Busy with my sketchbook or camera, I take inspiration from my surroundings, the places I have seen, the things I love and the world of nature with its overwhelming bounty of beauty.

Self taught, I have honed my skills through making mistakes and practice, practice and more practice! I hope that being commercial with my own creativity encourages other dreamers to do the same and to trust that raw talent is enough to succeed too.

My artwork offers a carnival of colour mixed up with a little bit of crazy made especially for you. I work in my little studio hidden in the Andalucian coutryside near Cadiz where I live with my best friend/ husband, 2 crazy dogs, 9 weird goats, 4 hens and a cockerel called Fred. Having spent most of my working life in the world of finance, sales and marketing, I finally decided to chase my dream of becoming a full time artist and illustrator. Poco Loco means ´a little crazy´in Spanish and feels like absolutely the right name for this particular journey!
