I am an artist in San Francisco working primarily in mixed media, collage and landscape painting. My work has included maps, postcard-themed art and mail art projects. In 2013 I began moving away from found ephemera and shifted towards making my own material for collages. I paint paper and then cut it and reassemble the pieces in mixed media works. This gives me the freedom to have whatever material I need as well as being able to control my color palette. I am no longer dependent on what I can find. This led to a series I called Collagescapes and then to a series of Post-Folk Art. That is a nod to the color palettes found in costumes, textiles, pottery and other forms of traditional Kashubian and Polish folk art. Since 1997 my work has shown in over 40 venues, primarily in California but also in other locations in the United States and abroad.
